Summer camps are the absolute best way to start your juniors off right, because they learn every part of the game and have a ball doing it.

Our Curriculum

The first step in mastering golf is to build a solid foundation for your game. You’ll do that by developing your skills in four basic shot types. These four shots are the most frequent shots you’ll hit when you play:

  1. Driving
  2. Putting
  3. Full Swing
  4. Pitching

They share many commonalities, but they also require slightly different skills.

For instance:

  • You need to maximize your speed with your driver, but control your speed with your putter;
  • You swing down with your irons, but swing up with your driver and swing neutral with your 3-wood (it’s why ball position is important).

That’s why our curriculum is built around a series of lessons for each of the four shot types.

Your goal should be to develop your skill level in each of these four shots over time.

The higher you level your skills, the better you will play.

Take a look at our programs to see how to do it.

The second component of mastering golf is to understanding the four ball-striking skills. Every shot comes down to your ability to execute these four ball-striking fundamentals:

  1. Center Contact
  2. Direction Accuracy
  3. Distance Control
  4. Shape Consistency

These are your success metrics.

Every time you hit a drive, putt, iron, or pitch shot, ask yourself these post-shot questions:

  • Did I make square contact (hit the ball first, in the middle of the clubface)?
  • Did the shot go the direction I intended (to my target)?
  • Did the shot travel the correct distance?
  • Do my shots have a consistent shape – either draw, fade, or straight?

You’ll know which skills to prioritize just by asking these questions after your shots.

It’s called a Post-Shot Routine.

Post-Shot Routines are one of the great secrets to rapid game improvement and more consistent play.

We’ll teach you how to do it.

Ready to take your game up a notch?

Smart Practice

In order to improve you’ll need to practice. There’s no way around it.

But we’ll show you how to practice smarter, so that your range time is not only more productive, but more fun too!

How?

When we put the four shot types together with the four ball-striking skills we create a structured practice plan.

Then you schedule your practices so that you are rotating through each of the four shot types, with shot-specific objectives, over a set period of time.

For example,

Day 1: Split time between Driver and Putting.

  • Driver focus = center contact.
  • Putting focus = 6-footers

Day 2: Split time between Pitch Shots and Full Swing Irons

  • Pitch Shots – focus on distance control
  • Full Swing Irons – focus on directional accuracy to hit more greens

It’s called smart practice. And Smart Practice is fun practice.

When you know what to practice, why, and how to practice the right way, spending time on the range is a joyful experience all its own.

That’s because you can tell when you are making progress.

It’s a great feeling when you go to the practice area with a specific goal to accomplish (like sinking more 6-footers), and walking away knowing you have progressed on your goal.

And the results will show up quickly in your golf game.

You’ll be so much happier with your game!

PROFESSIONAL COACHING

The single most important skill you’ll take from our sessions is the gift of self-coaching.

The vast majority of time you spend on the range will be by yourself.

Knowing what you are trying to accomplish, why, and what to do about it will lead to more productive practice time and a faster path to better golf.

Self-Coaching empowers you to take control of the speed of your your improvement.

Self-Coaching is an identifiable process. Here is the formula:

  • Self-Coaching = Self-Awareness + Self-Discovery

Self-Awareness is your ability to distinguish what you intended to do vs. what really happened.

Self-Discovery is the process creative experimentation to find out what works.

Together they are the magic components of practice that will skyrocket your game to the highest levels.

Ready to take control of your game?

No matter how good or bad you think your current swing is, you will score better by playing smarter.

We will show you how.

There are just a handful of basic course navigation guidelines that will help you maximize your scoring opportunities while minimizing the impact of mistakes.

They are easy to learn.

Good players don’t score well because of their swing.

They shoot lower scores because they understand how to play into their strengths while playing away from their weaknesses.

Start by reading the Course Navigation book, available on Amazon

Then schedule a playing lesson to see how to apply the guidelines to your game.

You’ll love the results.

You Deserve A Great Coach

You will accomplish your dreams faster and easier when you have a coach.

Every golfer on the PGA Tour, Champions, & LPGA Tour has a coach. These are the best players in the world. Why would they need a coach, when they already play so well?

The simple answer is that it is nearly impossible to do it on your own.

You need the eyes and the feedback from someone who has already been there and who knows what the path forward looks like.

With a coach on your side, you’ll:

  • Build a solid foundation based on the four major shots
  • Know which ball-striking skills to prioritize
  • Know What and How to practice
  • Fix swing issues faster and create new, better swing habits
  • Have an expert partner on your side who knows your game and will guide you along the way

You deserve a coach every bit as much as the elite players.

Maybe more.

kind words from our players

I’m so happy! I wanted to hit my drives farther but I didn't know how to do it. Now I'm working on my swing speed and my center contact. The results have been amazing!

Sunny

We're so impressed with the progress our kids have made since they joined the Junior Academy. They started out hardly knowing anything about golf. But after summer camps and a year in Academy, they know how to hit all the shots, and they are even teaching me! We love playing as a family, and we know this experience will set us up for a lifetime of playing golf together.
